Hello,

I contacted you a few weeks ago to use myShortList with dpcalendar and EasyProfil (JSN)

I tried to fire your component but I did not find a tutorial to start! (https://mavxr.com/support/faq/my-shortlist-faq)

The needs are mainly for connected members but possibly for visitors.

a) The visitor clicks on the button "add to favorites" in a prelist that the administrator proposes: "my inscriptions, my proposals, interesting articles .."
Currently it does not work!
I do not see how to create my default lists ?

dpcalendar
I do not have a button on the event
https://joomtest.88h.ovh/fr/agenda/categorie-plein-air/evesorta
I just have the title on the agenda page
https://joomtest.88h.ovh/fr/agenda#year=2018&month=10&day=1&view=list

I do not have a button on an article in a blog
https://joomtest.88h.ovh/fr/allcategories-fr-fr/blog-fr-fr/blog2

b) Initially, I do not want them to create their own lists (or from some levels of ACL user groups!
How to do ?

c) Finally, I would like to put a module on its dashboard (main page in online mode) which displays these several lists of favorites in a different module

my inscriptions,
my propositions,
interesting articles
...
How to do?

Regards

Hello Hervé and thank you for posting.

First of all, MyShortlist is not intented to automatically include any button in your site. You have to configure where to show it.
Without Custom Blocks, it will not show the add button in a category page, or agenda page, but only in a single article page or single event page. So, to show the MyShortlist Button in the Agenda page, you need to use Custom Blocks, which is a relatively new feature, on which we are working to produce a nice tutorial.

Secondly, to have different MyShortlist lists without allowing the user to create them, you have to have different module instances. One for each list you want. One of the first options in MyShortlist is the "Default List ID (Cookie Prefix)". There it mentions: "Use this prefix, if you would like to have more than one My ShortList lists on your site."

So, to create multiple lists, you need to create multiple MyShortlist modules. Write a different module title. For example: "My Wishlist" and "My Favorites".
In "My Wishlist" module, write "My Wishlist" as the Default List Name.
Write "wishlist" as the Default List ID.
Set Allow Multiple Lists to No.

In "My Favorites" module, write "My Favorites" as the Default List Name.
Write "favorites" as the Default List ID.
Set Allow Multiple Lists to No.

That will produce two different modules that have two different lists.

Let's assume you want another module, that is only for some user group, that allows them to edit lists.
Create the other module "My Lists".
Write the default list you want (name and cookie prefix) and set Allow Multiple Lists to Yes.
Then, on the usual module options on the right, select for which users it will be visible.

This way, they will be able to edit their lists.

I checked your page and the Add button doesn't work because of an issue with the base href.
Please mail me at me@mavxr.com so that we can debug that.
Thanks again.
