An option in module settings to always have unfolded lists displays (visible lists when a new page is open without having to press +) would be welcome.
The possibility to close list display window by clicking everywhere around may be great too.

I understand why that would be useful.
However, as you can see there are already so many options that we deliberately try to keep them down.
You can easily change what you mentioned by creating a template override of the file modules/mod_myshortlist/default_multiple_lists_interface.php.
