NSPro User Integration Plugin question on user profile edit

Hi, I have just started using NSPro with a recreational club website and so far am impressed with the functionality and ease of use.

I am making use of the User Intrgration plugin and was pleased to see that creating new website users from both the front end via a plugin and from the backed automatically subscribed the new users to the fixed maillists, and also that deleting users from the back end removed them.

However, I  have noticed that for some system users where I have manually unsubscribed them after doing the mass import via NSPro toolkit, if I edit the profile for these accounts then they automatically get resubscribed to the fixed maillist. Is there any way to prevent this?

Is it possible to leave those subscribers as non-confirmed? Unconfirmed subscribers are inactive in every way, and the User sync plugin will still consider them as subscribed.
Otherwise, it always try to keep the two lists in sync.
