Hi Christopher,

I'm almost done setting things up. One last question: I have a multi-language website, but I will send emails only to my dutch audience yet. I have created a nice template and am now working on the first newsletter. I intend to include mainly articles in the monthly newsletter, using the Smart Tags.

Al works well now, except for the read more link, which is still in English. I tried to add a nl-NL.com_nspro.ini file striting with the default en-GB file and translating the desired strings, among which READ_MORE="Meer lezen..."

However, in the email send from the toolkit test the url is still "Read more..."

What am I missing?

Thank you again,
Clements

And this one was solved by upgrading to the latest paid version.

Hi Christopher,

It appears that it is very random, one test I sent, was showing "Lees meer" (dutch) but others still show "Read more."

To troubleshoot, can you explain how it should work? Where is determined what language it should be? As said: my website is multilingual, but the articles I include in the Newsletter are all in Dutch. I've added a .ini file with the required translations.

Hi again Clements,

It is true that debugging language issues in Joomla can sometimes be very challenging.

The language of your newsletter content is unknown to NS Pro. There's no Language field.
This is intentional, as many choose to send bilingual newsletters, with content presented in two languages, one after the other.

As such, the language of the Read more button could be affected by any of the following factors, depending on which interface is used to send:
1) The default content language of your site.
2) The language you choose when you log in to the administrator.
3) The front-end newsletter manager menu item language.

If you always want your Read more button to appear in Dutch, this simplifies things a lot. All you have to do is make sure that you add a language override for the READ_MORE key in both Dutch, and English for both the administrator and the site. This will ensure that the Read more always appears in Dutch in your newsletters.

Let me know if that helps.
