Unsubscribe link not directing to the Unsubscribe form

Good afternoon,
When I test the Unsubscribe link on a newsletter, it takes me to the home page.  I have a menu item for the unsubscribe form, but it isn't part of the main menu.  Do I need to do something additional to get the link to take the user to the correct form?

Can you please describe which unsubscribe link you use? Is it {link:UNSUB}your text{/link}?

When in the home page, do you see anything else in the URL, or is it just your domain?

Do you maybe have a component that blocks unregistered system URLs like sh404sef or Admin Tools?

In NS Pro options, do you have the redirection after unsubscription option enabled? Do you have the link tracking enabled?

If you want a link to the Unsubscribe form, maybe you can use the direct link to the menu item instead of {url:UNSUB}.
You probably already know this, but it's sometimes worth checking: If you have a link in your editor, you may edit the text of the link, without changing the actual href URL.

I hope any of these points helps identify the issue.

I re-visited this topic just now, in order to look into it more thoroughly.

I don't think this is the unsubscribe link after all.
I think your site is not accepting non-SEF URLs, at all.

Two things to try in your browser, neither of which involves NS Pro:

If you visit https://waxmusical.com/login, you get the login form, as expected.
If you try the Joomla equivalent: https://waxmusical.com/index.php?option=com_users&view=login, you get the home page instead.

On a standard Joomla installation the second URL has to show the login form.
Whatever is intercepting this is doing it site-wide, to core Joomla components, maybe before NS Pro is ever involved.

The unsubscribe link has to be a plain non-SEF URL, because it carries a per-subscriber token so the visitor doesn't have to type their address. whereas the menu item you linked directly is a clean SEF path with nothing after the ? — which is precisely why that one works.

Some usual culprits I would check:

• An SEF extension (sh404SEF or similar) set to redirect or reject non-SEF URLs
• A "remove index.php" rewrite rule in .htaccess written without the [QSA] flag, which drops the query string
• A page cache or CDN (LiteSpeed Cache, Cloudflare, host-level caching) keyed on the path only, so ?… is ignored

If you can tell me which SEF and caching extensions are installed, and attach your .htaccess, maybe I can point at the specific rule.
In the meantime, linking to the unsubscribe menu item should work well, with the only downside that subscribers have to type their email address rather than having it filled in for them.
