End User's Joomla Artcile from a category was created by Stéphan
Hi Christopher, here's a case I would need some advice to sove it :
I have a category with one item per user (author) - Rarely two - Actually it is a kind of repository.
Twice a Year I would like to send this articles to my users so they can check it if informations are still relevant.
So each user will recieve only the article he's the author.
Any advice to do that ? Or maybe a suggestion for new tag to create ?
Thanks in advance...

Hi again Stéphan and thank you for posting!
I understand the request, but I have some questions.
Do you have a separate mailing list for these authors, or do you need NS Pro to filter them?
What happens if the recipient has no articles?
Would it be enough to include a link to the article, or do you need its content to be included in the newsletter?

Hi Christopher, thank you for your answer

Here are my answers :
Only one category (let's call it repository)Do you have a separate mailing list for these authors, or do you need NS Pro to filter them?
Why not a sentence, i.e. : "Sorry no item found" - But actually in my case, it is impossible : All members MUST have at least (and most of cases) ONE article in this categoryWhat happens if the recipient has no articles?
I would prefer the content, but the link can be enough if this solution is the only one available...Would it be enough to include a link to the article, or do you need its content to be included in the newsletter?

Hi again Stéphan.
As you understand from the very late response, I have given this a lot of thought, but I haven't found an easy solution.
Here are our problems:
1. The newsletter does not know the recipient's user ID. Only their email address. In order to include articles that they have written, it must load the user ID separately.
2. Even if you used the Articles module and set it to include articles from the current user only, the sending process is not done with the author's user, so it still wouldn't include anything relevant.
So the only suggestion I can really give to you is if you want me to build a custom smart text for your specific case. It will not be documented for others to use, because it is too specific.
Let me know if you would be interested in that.
Thanks again.

Hi Christopher, thank you very much for your feedback n this topic
What if I add an extra field for suscribers called in example "Joommla ID" added manually for each suscibers ?
This field would be filled with the Joommla user ID. Maybe it will be more easy to link article from user then ?

I appreciate the idea, and depending on the order of filters, it could work, but it still needs to somehow filter articles by author, which is currently not available.
Adding a new smart text is probably the only viable option.
