I'm not a Joomla or backend expert, but from what I can find on Google the problem is caused by us running a too-old version of Joomla – sadly however I am unable to make any updates due to some security settings that are out of my control. Is there any way to get the contact form working anyway?PHP Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in E:\site ... path\administrator\components\com_rapidcontactex\rapidcontactex.php on line 36

Hello Andreas and thank you for posting.
You figured out correctly that this is an issue with your Joomla version. As far as I can tell, you are using a version prior to 2.5.5, which is a HUGE SECURITY RISK. I have seen websites hacked having version 2.5.9, back in 2012. Four years later, I can guarantee that your site is risking your whole server's integrity.
For this reason, I have removed the full path that you wrote, that reveals to anyone what your site is.
Now. There is a way to make it work, and that is by changing a few files. Please send me an email at me@mavxr.com and I will tell you exactly which files to change.
Thanks again.
