We have fixed this error. I released an erroneous version and deleted it right away. I do not understand how this reached your site.
Given the fact that I am currently not in position to offer a better fix, please download the attached file, unzip and place it in administrator/components/com_simplequiz/helpers/simplequiz.php
In the morning I will check to see how you got this version in the first place.
